dermatologist!

so, remember waaaaay back in the day when i tried drinking water for a month to fix my acne?! well. no luck. so i FINALLY went to the dermatologist to fix this little huge problem. he gave me pills anddd gel. and {apparently} i pick at my face because i have lots of "marks" on it. i thought i was good about it, but clearlyyy i'm not because he busted me out. he says it's a slow "healing" process--so i'll keep you all updated! {stupid acne. and stupid lies about your face clearing as you got older-LIES}

{and don't be fooled--this face is covered with make up ;) }

anyone have acne tricks in case this doesn't work? or just better ways to take care of your face? i'd love to hear! I'll try anything!

yours truly,
kelley mackenzie

Gril, I am in the same boat. I'm 23 tomorrow and you'd think I would have problems anymore...more water is a good reminder for me though.

I use a retin A gel and a cream that is both an antibiotic and benzol peroxide. This combination has been helping. Who knew that acne was going to be a life- long problem?!?

I have always had acne! ugh! i HATE IT!! I was a lot worse when i was in high school. it has gotten a little better as i've gotten older but it is still there.

Have you tried Proactive? I used it when i was younger and it worked wonders. i've been swearing i'm going to buy it agin but i just haven't brought myself to buy it yet.

Also, a girl left a post on my blog one time about putting olive oil on her zits and she swears by it. i have not brought myself to try that though. Although, i do put olive oil on my hair a couple times a month.

I use to have bad breakouts in my early twenties. I heard good things about Cetaphil face wash and gave it a try. It has really helped clear up my skin, although I still get a few breakouts now and then. It is a soap free cleanser. You can get it at places like Target and Walmart.
